Pakistan's textile exports continue to be weak

according to Pakistan's national newspaper, since the 2015/16 fiscal year, textile exports accounting for more than 60% of Pakistan's exports have continued to be weak. In the first four months of this fiscal year (2015), the textile export volume was US $4.3 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 6.52%. Among them, in October, there was a decrease of 10.69%, and the monthly export was only US $1.05 billion. The head of all Pakistan Textile Mills Association said that due to the high electricity price, Pakistan's textiles can hardly compete with the midline adjustment method in the global market. The industry is disappointed that the government has not fulfilled its commitment to promote exports. Recently, the Pakistani government decided to impose a 10% adjustment tariff on imported cotton yarn and cut the medium and long-term export promotion financing interest rate by 1%, However, no measures have been taken to solve the problems of electricity price, export tax rebate and sales tax that are most concerned by the industry
